In April 1983, about 70,000 people linked arms to form a human chain between three nuclear weapons centres in Berkshire (Greenham Common, Aldermaston and Burghfield) in a non-violent protest organised by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND). This badge was owned and worn by Hackney activist Ian Rathbone.
