Object history

This business card was produced for Pandit Bros. Ltd. The company became incorporated by shares in December 1962 so it's name formally changed from Pandit Bros. Ltd. to Pandit & Partners Limited. However it is likely that the business stationery and the factory signage was not changed and remained at 'Pandit Bros. Ltd'. Also, telephone prefixes changed from place names to numbers in 1966 so the '01' telephone number suggests that this business card was probably used from the late 1960s, and up until the early 1980s.
