Object history
Badge criticising the transport of flasks of nuclear waste by rail through London by British Nuclear Fuels Limited (BNFL), and the safety risks to residents from accidents or terrorist attacks. The GLC created four different designs of billboards placed around London invited people to ‘spot the nuclear train.’ One of these featured a photograph of one of these trains crossing the Hackney Central bridge over Mare Street.
