Object history
This company letter headed notepaper was produced for Pandit Bros. Ltd. The company became incorporated by shares in December 1962 so it's name formally changed from Pandit Bros. Ltd. to Pandit & Partners Limited. However it is likely that the business stationery and the factory signage was not changed and remained as 'Pandit Bros. Ltd'. Telephone prefixes changed from place names to number in 1966 so the 'CLIssold' telephone prefix suggests that this notepaper was probably produced before 1966. Only two of the Sharma family are listed as Directors so it is possible that this notepaper was produced after the death of the company's founder Devi Pershad Pandit in 1960, but before Kidar Singh Jamdagni join a few years later.
