Object history

Steel an' Skin were an arts ensemble who focused on teaching communities across the UK about pan-African culture, tradition and custom. They ran music and dance workshops mostly using steel pans and drums.

'Acid Rain' is an anniversary record recognising the work of Steel an' Skin (Steel 'n' Skin). This record contains songs written and performed by various members of the ensemble including their founder, Peter Blackman.

Cougar Records is a record label founded and run by artist Henry Barnes. Barnes has worked alongside and released the music of many Hackney based artists.
